Tasty Tidbit: He’s “War Eagle” on and off the course
Being outdoors and active (since I don’t like to sit still) is my respite. Whether doing yard work, skiing, swimming, hunting, or playing on the beach, I am enjoying the beauty the world created for us. Attending an Auburn football game and tailgating with friends, on a crisp fall day, is at the top of my list of favorites.
That being said, it’s hard to keep me away from the golf course. I love the opportunities a game of golf opens for starting and building friendships; but, the challenge is what brings me back. In the end, it’s you against the golf course. Of course, after a round, there is always the satisfaction that you stared down the challenge, but there are always shots you leave on the course, too. Even on your best day, it could have been a shot or two better had you made that putt, or chipped the ball a little closer, or hit the fairway.
I enjoy challenging myself and I think we all are at our best when we are challenged and striving to be a little better than we were the day before.
